It has been an honor to draw Koschka's portrait. He is one cool cat now, but he wasn't always this happy. Koschka was a Washington State Court Ordered Surrender. According to the Wild Animal Sanctuary's website, "Siberian Lynx Dmitri and Koschka were confiscated through a court order after state officials found a person breeding them to sell as pets. The Wild Animal Sanctuary was contacted by a Humane Society that had been temporarily holding the cats, and agreed to give them a life-long loving home where they can live freely."

I will personally donate a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of Koschka's portrait directly to The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, CO.

I started drawing on the morning of December 11, 2014. I was admiring the monthly photos as I flipped through a 2015 calendar I received in the mail from my electric company. June featured a photograph of a beautiful blue heron and as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to try to draw it. Keep in mind that I have never drawn before, never doodled, never even attempted to draw. I am an accountant, not an artist. But for some reason, I didn’t think twice when I felt the urge to draw. I picked up a pencil and grabbed a scratch piece of paper and simply started to sketch. Within a short amount of time, I had drawn a decent depiction of the blue heron. It wasn’t a great sketch by any stretch, but it ignited my unknown inner artist that had...
