Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

This painting is one in a series of five paintings in honor of the Cluny Museum Unicorn Tapestries: The Five Senses. I have completed 3 of the 5. It took me about a year to paint this piece. The last one I painted was in 2006, so it's been over 10 years. I have painted other tapestry inspired paintings in between. A captured Unicorn, and my own take of the Lady & The Unicorn Tapestries. They have been SOLD. Some of the Originals are on permanent display at Caf� Ventana's Annex on the St. Louis University campus at 3919 W Pine Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63108. This artwork is not a copy of the Unknown Artists & Weavers who created the tapestries in French speaking Belgium in Medieval Times. They are painted in my style. The original unicorn tapestries now reside in the Cluny Museum in Paris. I was first inspired to paint these canvases when I read the book "Lady &The Unicorn" by Tracy Chevalier.
