Artist's Description
This was an invitation piece for a fundraiser benefiting New Life Children's Center, a residence for abused, neglected and abandoned girls operated by Lutheran Social Services of the South. The original was auctioned and the proceeds went to improve facilities at the Center.
The residents of New Life chose the name for the painting, "Lean on Me", describing the help they give each other and are given by the staff.
All proceeds from the sale of giclee prints of this painting will go to New Life.
About Bunny Oliver
"In these turbulent times, it is my hope my paintings will provide a sense of joy or tranquility. I seek to help viewers focus on the beauty and harmony God intends for us--to give a message of hope," Oliver states. An award-winning artist, she paints a variety of subjects in oils in a direct style with vivid colors and energetic brushstrokes. Pursuing painting seriously since 1987, she has studied with leading impressionists in the country, and her work has been exhibited across the U.S. and in Europe.
