Taken in my backyard, Monroe, Connecticut, USA. This youngster wanted to get real close to this buck. It was scary for a moment or two, but all went well!!

White-tailed deer- are found in Southern Canada and most of the United States. Adult weight ranges from 110-150 lbs. Feed on grass, twigs, apples,buds,acorns, and a wide variety of hardwood treees and leaves from conifer trees such as white pine and hemlock.
