Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

I wanted a photo that showed what a beast these things are, and this one really shows it.

Perfect! I wish that you'd included a translation of the two inscriptions in some ancient language that are above the shoulders of St John Coltrane. It would cost your company virtually nothing to supply this with the picture.
Artist's Description
Acrylic on canvas 36x48" created in 2005.
Review by Craig Starr: Wow! Google translated this to "the Desolate". I don't know if that is the artist's intention, but one can extrapolate the emotion and intensity of the work, into the Desolate Souls. Souls locked in purgatory who are trapped between heaven and hell until they have served their sentences for their sins on earth. The Master Wayne Salvatore, playing canvas God - as an artist can, has placed them in the twilight that is the way point for the departed (according to certain faiths). One can feel the emotions of consternation and disappointment at not receiving the instant release straight into heaven. This may not be Wayne's thoughts, but regardless, the mastery of the principled hand eye coordination and instant decision making of Mr. Salvatore cannot be denied. To cut a brush stroke at just the right millisecond is not common. Rather far from it. Very rare in fact. What the casual observer does not see is the decision mak...
About Wayne Salvatore
I use color and paint to express my response to everything: nature, music, dogs, travel, happenings, etc. Sometimes an image flashes into view and I can’t relax until I recreate it, not even just the image, but also the emotions that came with it. I rely on my own instincts to gauge my success. The process is agonizing at times, but when it works, I feel complete elation. Biography: Wayne was born in Hartford, CN in 1948 and loved the works of Leonardo Da Vinci, Salvador Dali and Vincent Van Gogh early on. Although his formal education was in Photojournalism, art has always been a big part of his life and in 2004 he was stuck with a dilemma. He had bought over 24 quarts of paint from the local Kelly-Moore paint...
