Materials Used: 140lb. Watercolor paper, polymer medium, acrylics, stained tissue painted drawing paper, Nevr Dull magazine paper, printed drawing paper, stamping with homemade stamps and acrylics, sealed with a layer of UV satin varnished.

Meaning behind the art: Thankful that I had made a few extra throughout the year. As the piece I created in the studio today for Tack Down Tuesdays didn’t work out and it will be scrapped. This Gal is just juggling too much with the holiday’s preparation. So this piece was created back in September when I went on a 5 day Midwest Collage Society Retreat. Every Morning after morning pages I created a piece before breakfast time…Might have to start that routine again was very productive

Bio Laura Lein-Svencner was raised in Downers Grove IL not far from her grandfather’s farm and resides now Darien Illinois for the past 30 years. She’s continued with her personal studies in drawing, printmaking, sculpture, papermaking and collage. Seeking inspiration from one artist to another, Laura has pursued her love of paper; this steady pace of exploration has led her to become a member of many local and international collage groups. She also co-founded the Midwest Collage Society which exhibits throughout the Midwest region.
