Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

Rarely can we witness the force of Mother Nature in the form of Lightning in the Bay Area but on the evening of August 13th this year an electric storm hit the region. Some adventurous photographers in San Francisco braved the weather and took pictures of the lightning hitting the towers of the Bay Bridge. I recreated the phenomenon viewed from a different angle in the East Bay, where you can appreciate the length of the bridge. Obviously, there is some artistic license in this rendering. You figure it out.

I was born and raised in Mexico City at a time of political and cultural reawakening. As a child, my teachers would take us to see Rivera's, Siqueiros's Orozco's murals as well as Tamayo's paintings. I was also enchanted by the works of Frida Kalho and Remedios Varo and was exposed to the astonishing beauty of the works of Meso-American artists and craftsmen. As an adult, I was transported when I first saw Hiroshige's wood cuts, from there I explored Asian art. Also, I resonated with the color and style of Maxfield Parrish. I attended the Woodstock School of Art in Woodstock, NY where I studied Structured Drawing and Painting. My studies in Graphic Design at UC Berkeley Extension has made a mark in my artwork by using technology and...
