Artist's Description

My friend and I drove the Going to the Sun Highway about 3 or 4 times each time, at least, going up to Logan's Pass. On the third drive we finally stopped at Logan's Pass (becasue they had a place to park this time) and hiked to Hiden Lake. Though I am not too fond of going where the tourist go, because of the crowd, I did enjoy the day photographing the wildlife and the beautiful landscape that stretched in front of my eyes. I felt as though I was back at the Grand Canyon because the gournd squirles at Logan's Pass would come close and even climb up my leg. It was pretty funny. The mountain goats casually walked up to me, sometimes close enough to reach a hand and pet them. The trail was beautiful all around. I would go back in a heart beat.

As I toured around the tiny island I became inspired to photograph the landscape. I bought my first camera in October, 2006 and entered my first art competition in December, 2006 where I won Honorable...
