While walking along Long Beach located in Long Beach, New York on the south shore of Long Island. I had just finished photographing a surfing contest and the waters were gettting rougher as I was walking down by the shore of the beach. As I came across this one jetty the waves were pounding it and causing white water to spray in all different directions, even the noise it made was a loud hard crashing noise. As the ocean mist and spray became more and more powerful I did not want to damage my camera so I put my zoom lens on and stepped back several feet and continued to shoot the jetty as the waves continued to crash upon it every few seconds.
