Many times during our two trips to Prague we rode the #22 tram over the most Legil (a bridge) which crosses over Strelecky Ostrov (Island). Finally, on our last day in Prague we decided to have a walk on the park in the island. It was Christmas day and in the quiet of the morning, many other people were having a stroll in the park as well. There aren't many hours of sunlight in December in Prague (only about 8) and even in the late morning the shadows are very long! Together with the mist over the river, it made for some beautiful morning light. Strelecky Island is located between the Old Town and the Little Quarter in the midst of the Vltava River. There are wonderful views of Prague Castle and the Old Town from the island.
