The light coming through the fall aspen foliage is just gorgeous and it makes a beautiful frame for the mountains beyond. Congratulations on the 1st place win in the recent All COLORADO Logo contest.

Wow! what a fantastic, cheerful image!

Happy to help / promote.

Love to watch aspen leaves dance in a gentle breeze off the mountain. Beautiful shot.

Margaret Bobb replied:

Thank you, Shasta--this is one of my favorite photos, "one day" it will become a painting.

The peak is framed so gorgeously in gold--love this image!

Stunning view. Congrats on your 2nd place win!

Margaret Bobb replied:

Thank you sooo much, Ausra!

Gorgeous framing Margaret! We voted in the mountains contest and left a vote here as well. Oh my, how did you get so many votes in that contest? Good for you! Celebrate life, Debra and Dave

Margaret Bobb replied:

Thank you so much, Debra and Dave! ...I posted this on my Facebook Page and people voted! ...two different friends also said they would love it hanging in their homes, so here's hoping for a sale! I think that is the idea behind these "just for fun" contests, to let your friends know about it and raise awareness about your pieces. Thanks again!

This is a very nice photograph

Artist's Description

I captured this image on the Bierstadt trail headed toward Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, located close to Estes Park, Colorado, USA on Sept 25, 2011. Talk about a perfect day! It was unseasonably warm, not windy, and the aspens were at peak at this elevation in the park. I looked back and saw Long's Peak and The Keyboard of the Winds framed by aspen gold. I recently learned from a Park Ranger that the jagged peaks to the right of Long's Peak makes hauntingly beautiful music as the high altitude winds speed through there, hence the name The Keyboard of the Winds. I felt blessed that day. The original photo IS for sale, but I would like to retain enough copyright to do a painting of this. It is one of my favorite photos.

About Margaret Bobb

Margaret Bobb

Margaret Bobb, an impressionistic colorist born and reared in the vibrant arts community of New Orleans, LA, has lived in Boulder County, Colorado, USA for over 20 years. She says, "Drawing was my first love...then I met paint. My goal in art is to evoke emotions of joy, peace, harmony, and perhaps even a sense of wonder to people as they view my work. Realism used to be very important to me. But, as I've matured, I have found that my focus has changed from recording life to enjoying the sheer act of pushing, pulling or dropping colors onto a surface. I believe that creativity is a reflection of our spirit. There is so much ugliness in the world, I want to bring beauty to people. Much of my art is about color relationships and how light...
