This image of a dog was done from a photograph of a friend's dog. I am an animal lover and enjoy creating caricature's from photographs. I have been using dried palm fronds and other parts of Florida's natural vegetation to create most of my most recent works and acrylic paint. This is what I used to create this mixed media wall hanging, as well. I have and will create commission works of animals or people, as well. MY work can be seen at the Art Cottage in Bonita Springs where classes are given on this mixed medai concept and othe media, as well.

Art is the most important subject under the sun - it says it all!. I studied art at Temple University's Tyler School of Art, Boston University's School of Fine and Applied Arts and received a Master's Degree from Florida International University when I was fortunate to visit China. I have always enjoyed the creative process and taught for over 24 years in the public schools and privately. Teaching Middle School was a challenge that I totally enjoyed; as it gave me the opportunity to experiment with various media to inspire and motivate students when they question everything, especially authority.
