My work is based on the arts of people indigenous to the Northwest, Southwest and Hawaii. Nature's dynamic expression through abstraction generate a mix of pulsing rhythms akin to music. An occult vitality resides in the confluence of these influences.
About Kourosh Amini
Kourosh Amini, is an abstract artist influenced by the early beginning of art, he explored the magic capabilities of abstraction in forms and symbols from all over the world with a specific attention to American Indian and African Art. His works have been seen in private and public exhibitions in Europe and the United States. Kourosh Amini was born in Rabat, Morocco in 1969. By the age of fifteen he had lived on four continents. During these formative years, ten of which were spent in Paris, a personal vision was impressed. Once Amini had settled into New York City in the 1980’s his work as a graphic artist and a painter began.
