Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Magnetic-core memory board of a Honeywell-Bull mainframe computer built in 1968. It uses tiny magnetic toroids (rings), the cores, through which wires are threaded to write and read information. This board features 32x32 cores threaded through 4 wires. The core memory technique was in use for about 20 years between 1955 and 1975. Then integrated-circuit RAM (random access memory came on the market and are now the most common type of memory found in personal computers and different other electronic devices like cellular phones, USB sticks and printers.
