This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

A bulding in Germany with the story of Max and Moritz, A Story of Seven Boyish Pranks is a dark humorous tale, written and illustrated by Wilhelm Busch and published in 1865. Busch's classic tale of the terrible duo has become a proud part of the culture in German-speaking countries. Even today, parents usually read these tales to their children. Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, a certain familiarity with the story and its rhymes is still presumed, as it is often referenced in communication. The two faces are synonymous with mischief, and appear almost logo-like in advertising and even graffiti.
It even occurs that young German couples name their boy twins Max and Moritz respectively, depending on their individual sense of humour and the intended parenting.

They are called "Max & Moritz" (Wilhelm Busch) - one of the most popular kid's books in my childhood.
