Artist's Description

Meyers Mill was built in 1790 by Captain Meyers, an industrious man and for several years his grist was the only one between Napanee and Port Hope. The decendant's of Captain Meyers say his mill was further down the river and this was Ellis Burrell's Axe packaging plant built in 1880. All the history books and historic plaques in Belleville name it Meyers Grist Mill.

I was born in Toronto. Having spent a number of years in Belleville, I returned to the Quinte region in 2003 after living in the United States for twenty years. As an artist, I have been a member of the various communities through the years, being very active in the art scene. A passionate entrepreneur, I have been successful in business and now devote my time to my love of art. I'm the past advertising chair on the executive board of the Belleville Art Association and a member of the Quinte Arts Council, Fine Art America, Brushstrokes and Arts Quinte West. I have participated in many shows, juried shows and events and continue to be active . My passion for art came from my mother and great uncle. Mostly self taught I have benefited...
