This is an evening scene in Lowell, MA. The sun is a sign for the Lowell sun newspaper building. I loved the composition as soon as I saw it.

There is a long story affiliated with that spelling. I'm not sure you want to hear it. My father was born a Smith. When his parents divorced his mother married a man named Bretton. He said that his relative may have had a few too many while signing his name for the first time (not sure where or for who). An extra "t" may or may not have been added. So since I am really a Smith in disguise, I can't really argue one way or another! :) The things you learn about your distant relatives.
