Because of my love for the outdoors, I find animals are not only captivating they make for astonishing subjects. At my home in New Meadows Idaho it is common to see right out my living room window red fox, elk, deer, geese, a wide variety of birds and more. I have tried to capture these and other subject in my charcoal drawings. I am still attempting to define my style, and I find I tend to be more detailed than fluid. I have found Charcoal drawing has opened my eyes to the way I look at even a sunset or a tree as the shadows define its shape and uniqueness.
