About Kurt Gustafson

Kurt Gustafson

The son of a Madison Avenue creative, Kurt Gustafson was pre-destined to become a creative himself. Surrounded by a family of artists and designers, most notably acclaimed artist Anthony Bonagura, Kurt earned a deep appreciation of balance and composition growing up in the Big Apple. His career begin at the ripe age of 17, as an production assistant for his dad working on accounts such as Seagrams and Texaco. Over the span of his 40-year career as an art director, senior art director, and creative director, Kurt worked on many multi-million dollar accounts including Bell Helicopter, Sony, and Pace Picante (remember the “New York City” campaign?). His body of work earned him 128 advertising awards in print advertising.
