This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

About Wendy Chua
My goal is to express my feelings and emotions primarily through the texture of my paint. Some say my work is realism with a tinge of impressionist. I would just say it is a symphony of brush strokes, colours and imagination. It was the time living in Europe that exposed Wendy to a wide spectrum of arts forms, from sculptures and paintings to performing art. She was particularly attracted to the powerful brush strokes of Van Gogh and the breathtaking beauty of Monets impressionist interpretation of landscape. Upon returning to Malaysia, she was continuously inspired by the vibrancies of the local Malaysian art scene.
