Nakalele Blowhole is the result of the ocean wearing away the shore below the lava shelf. With each wave, water is forced through a hole in the lava shelf resulting in the eruption of water similar to a geyser. Located on the Nakalele Point, it's a land mass at the northernmost point, on the western half on the island of Maui
About Jamie Pham
I am a full-time freelance photographer based out of Los Angeles, specializing in landscapes and nature. I am also the staff photographer at the Los Angeles Zoo and my photography can be seen regularly published in the Zoo Magazine, website and various other marketing materials. With a background in animal behavior and marine biology from UCLA, I had always envisioned myself as a Professor teaching and conducting research, but instead I opted to take a leap of faith and pursue my passion for photography. I am so happy, glad, and proud that it has become a reality.
