I love driving up into the Napa Valley in the late fall and early spring during the early morning. The weather is cooler and the roads are less crowded. On top of that the sun is lower in the sky and seems to create excellent lighting of the vineyards.
I found this scene in the northern part of the Napa Valley just south of Calistoga. I was just driving up the highway and I was attracted to the area by the little puff of fog sitting out in the middle of the valley. I found a little turn off in the road and it just turned out to be right near this little shed/barn. I spent a good amount of time here and came up with this image. I have since revisited and sure I will visit it again. One of these days I would like to meet the owner of this vineyard and get permission to walk the land.
