This dancer was participating at a Pow Wow in Socorro, , near Geronimo terriroty, New Mexico and was proud to have me take his photo. His name is Bruce, very happy, very friendly person, I hope I meet him again some day soon. The painting mats out to be 24" x 16" and the actual image is 18" x 11". The photo shows part of the mat.

Mahto Hogue was born and raised in Texas but has always admired the colors and ambiance of the Southwest, especially Native Americans and their home style and customs. He has been interested and involved in art since an early age. He is a self taught artist, studying color, composition and anatomy. He is inspired by the Old Masters and the Modern Masters, (Norman Rockwell, Andrew Wyeth and Daniel Greene). He also was a commercial artist illustrator. Mahto visited the 4 Corners area in the late 1980's and fell in love with the area.
