I really find these helmets wonderful subjects. Have you worked from photos? This is my favorite of them. The angle you have this one sitting at shows it off very well.

I love this one! The colors are beautiful. I really enjoy paintings with those earthy tones.

Artist's Description

This is another in my series of fire fighter helmet paintings. It is painted with 18th century reproduction watercolor paint on Arches 140# paper. I had a tough time with the lettering so I used Noodler's Brown ink in a fountain pen to block it in.
