This colorful colored pencil drawing on textured paper, of "Number 82", depicts a typical old wooden door constructed of various pieces of weathered wood along with the ribs of an Ocotillo plant being used as the window opening. This type of construction can be seen in the Santa Fe, NM area as well as other Spanish type villages in Arizona and southwestern desert regions featuring adobe structures and homes.
Perhaps this door opens onto a lovely patio garden beyond the adobe wall that is adorned with the red pepper ristra. Near the entrance is a large agave plant and a wooden bench that the male Gambel's quail loves to rest upon.
