Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
Don Perino replied:
I am flattered. Thank you so much! I am a painter, not a photographer. But this vista stopped me in my tracks! I had to work fast. Soon after I captured the photos the storm passed, the light changed and the snow began to melt. I think it's a remarkable sight that nature created. And I am happy to have found the right group to display it in so more people might discover it.

Greta, You comment and vote are very appreciated. That is one amazing tree to see in person, and it was truly spectacular with fresh snow outling it's branches.
