A common sight of ages past on the Chesapeake Bay. A "buyboat" would be standing by to purchase oysters from watermen who had just harvested them. In this painting are four iconic Chesapeake Bay workboats. The Buyboat, Draketail Deadrise, Roundstern Deadrise, and the Boxstern Deadrise.

Patrick Belote is a digital artist from Onancock, VA.
