Artist's Description
This is of Old San Juan's Atlantic Coast, showing El Morro at the top, the city wall extending down below it, and the "slums" that were built outside the city. The ocean to the right with the white surf flowing in sideways, accentuates the horizontal features of the image. It will be framed in a black glassed frame with white mat, final dimensions of 13.5' x 16.5" x 1".
About Dana Schmidt
My name is Dana M Schmidt. I was a patent attorney for 35 years, mostly in upstate NY, then retired to take up art. Located now in Orlando, I paint under the mentorship of Robin Marie Pedrero. I got started by doing hand sketches as part of my law work, which taught me how to draw and led easily to doing pastels, which has been my art love for the last 15 years. Organized the For The Bird Market on 1000 Markets until 1KM was sold recently to Bonanza.com. I have exhibited at the Maitland Art Festival, and by invitation at the Orlando Museum of Art and at the Faith Arts Village of Orlando, one of the hottest new venues in Orlando.
