I was disappointed that the image on this pouch was not very clear. The zipper doesn't work real well, either.

Sunset storm clouds over Death Valley. The Panamint Range. The range runs north-south for approximately 100 miles through Inyo County, forming the western wall of Death Valley and separating it from the Panamint Valley to the west. The range is part of the Basin and Range Province, at the western end of the Great Basin.
As a kid I was fascinated with photographs. Look, Life magazine. National Geographic. That well-captured interplay of light and shadow...the notion of people, places and moments - all suspended in time. My first "real" camera was a Minolta Srt101. I was seduced. As a teenager, I learned how to develop film while working at Wyle Laboratories in El Segundo, and I still recall the smell of the developer...my eyes adjusting to the red filter light...and the sheer magic and delight of watching images begin to emerge. Life, family and a career as a teacher and psychologist intervened, not to mention a few more film cameras. Eventually, there was digital. Hah! Liberation! Photography is the creative medium that allows me to share...

I thank you for the kind words, John! This spot is a very special place for me, which is why this found itself in the gallery. :)

Joe, I already commented, voted and promoted your selection for CFC Round #16 so I went into your gallery and picked out this photo that I saw and enjoyed to be my replacement for CFC Round #16. I have seen a couple of these before, and this is great, an amazing sunset with colors that do not look like they belong in a photograph instead they look like they were either painted in or that this is a painting. The photo is so clear and detailed. Love the silhouette of the mountains caused by the storm clouds moving in and covering the sun. The mixture of the sunset and the storm clouds moving in always gives you an awesome photo if you get it at the right time and you did. Great photo, voted and FB promoted
