In this painting, Krishna is about to speak the Bhagavad-gita to Arjuna, on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, some 5000 years ago. This piece was created specifically to illustrate a new reprint of the Bhagavad-Gita with commentaries by Sripad Narasingha swami. This is a commissioned piece. This picture is a unique creation, not copied from anything else but created first on paper, then on canvas.
