How I Got The Shot
This image was born as a mental vision that came in response to a photograph I saw years ago - even before Max was conceived. Then with Max old enough, I found a spot near Fisher Towers and Moab, Utah as a good candidate for making the vision come to life.

Max is still a bit too young to do this at night so we shot a few images in the afternoon hours. I confirmed my camera position, lens choice, and composition. Then with an rf remote in-hand, Max and I took turns firing the camera remotely while posing on the rock in the upper right.
