Love the painting and the rich colorful blues, reds, greens, & yellows! A nice addition to our cowboy/southwest decor vibe.

Beautifully expressed rendition of the Shrine of the Bab. The frame and matting showcase the print. We have it prominently on our living room wall with other sacred pictures.

I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.
Artist's Description
Pier Bridge is found down a dirt road in the woods of Newport, New Hampshire. It was built by the railroad company over a wide stream. Now-a-days it is used by snowmobiles and dirt bikes to get over the stream. The image was created by scratching through the black outer layer of a clayboard into white clay. The scratch marks in the white clay produce the final image.
About Robert Goudreau
I am a scratchboard artist who has enjoyed drawing and painting throughout my life. In the fall of 2001 I was introduced to the scratchboard medium through a course at the University of New Hampshire. I took an immediate liking to this art form as it combines drawing and painting to create three-dimensional effects. Scratchboard art is very detail oriented requiring patience as well as an eye for form, light, and shadow. Scratchboard art shows my art expression the best. Member of the International Society of Scratchboard Artists (ISSA)

Julie, Thank you for your kind words on my art. I really enjoy creating scratchboard art pieces ever since I first discovered it back in 2001. I've stuck with it ever since. I am new to Fine Art America and plan to put most of my collection for sale on the site within the next few weeks. Thanks again. Bob G.
