My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Thank you Mary Flore

Beautiful picture. Grew up on northshore so wanted something from there. Metal picture really shows the colors and picture quality is very clear.

This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

Artist's Description
Hung out to dry in the sea breeze, pirates of misfortune are left to be a warning to any pirate who may attempt to abscond with the town's booty. Macabre, strange, hideous too, but none the less, an effective way to discourage the miscreants of the high seas.

Hi there Ana!! It's fun to have a little diversity in your work, isn't it!?! I think she meant it as a compliment, but I had a critic in a local paper refer to my work as an "amalgam".......Hmmm...........I'm good with that. You cant paint dead pirates over and over can you?? Ha!! Thank you for your kind words!!! I hope you have a great day!!!
Alfred Motzer
Mercifully, ..only pirates are discouraged and scared, Bob,..concerning viewers,...the opposite is true,..I think,..rightly so...! v/f
R W Goetting replied:
I appreciate that observation Mr. Alfred, thank you!!!
ANA MARIA EDULESCU
You are a complete artist, Bob. You so bravely treated this macabre subject with your masterful understanding and style. Fantastic piece ! f,v
R W Goetting replied:
Thank you Ana. I goofed and commented above instead of responding to you. Thank you so much. That is quite a compliment coming from such an accomplished artist and, by the way one of my favorite artists!!

Wonderful art work you have here.

This is amazing Bob, How you can take a subject like this one and turn it into a FANTASTIC work of art is beyond me. The mark of a true master indeed.
R W Goetting replied:
Hi Len. It is of a rather macabre nature isnt it? Based on one of the opening scenes in Pirates of the Carribean. The rock structure, the light, contrasted with the nature of the true subject was too much to pass up.
