Artist's Description
This is the remnant of a Scotsman's fortress called Bannerman Castle -- built not as a home, but as an arsenal for his immense collection of weapons. Public access to this island has had a small window of opportunity, curtained by Native American and Dutch settler's fear of resident spirits and goblins, and then restricted since 1900 for more contemporary safety reasons.
About Capt Gerry Hare
Taking advice has not been one of my strong points, but soon after I retired, friends and acquaintances were telling me I should display my photographs and think about selling them. I enjoy shooting pictures of architecture, flowers, birds, and everyday life. I have traveled throughout Europe, South America, and The United States, and more importantly near at Home. My Photograph’s are a reflection on my view of places and things and the beauty I see in it. I sincerely hope you enjoy them. Some Images have been enhanced for canvas prints , if you prefer standard Photographs, drop me a Line I'll up load a standard photograph format shot. Capt. Gerry Hare
