Artist's Description

One of the images that started it all, my first digital image composite. I had Kodachromes of the skyline and one of the window in my attic. I scanned the slides with the Barneyscan scanner (the first desktop film scanner). The scan quality wasn't very good (very noisy), it was also very difficult to get it focused. The best feature of the scanner was that an early version of what is now called Photoshop came with it. It was called BarneyscanXP at the time. I created the print and clothespin in a 3D program to add to the composited scene. 1990

My adventure into the digital art world began in early 1984, shortly after purchasing my first computer, a Macintosh 128K. The Macintosh came with a copy of MacPaint, which I immediately began experimenting with. First with illustrations and in 1985, with the addition of a Thunderscan scanner, I began editing my own photos years before the term digital photography would become known. IMO, the computer is the most powerful creative tool yet conceived.
