A mirrored lake high up
in the mountains
on a quiet morning
reflects such beauty in full Autumn..
This is part of the Cherokee
National Forest in the state
of Tennessee
near the North Carolina border.
This lake is at the start
of a beautiful trail
leading to the Benton Waterfall
in the Chilhowee Recreation Area
and is incredibly lovely...
As one gazes at the scene
and takes in the reflective beauty,
one thinks of the most wonderful words
that our Lord gave to us:
"The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down
in green pastures:
he leadeth me
beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul..."
