I adore Jane Austen. I have all of her books, "Emma," "Pride and Prejudice." and "Sense and Sensibility" to name a few. I love the romance and elegance depicted in Austen's literature. I also LOVE watching BBC period dramas as well. This is my first shot at depicting this era. My beautiful girl is reading her Jane Austen novel while her kitties look on and enjoy the pond at the base of the hill.

I was born and raised in the beautiful state of New Mexico and my family has been in northern New Mexico for over 10 generations. My work comes from my memories of growing up in a large extended family and my favorite subjects to paint are the people and traditions of northern New Mexico.
