This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.

Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

Artist's Description
I loved working on Reagan's portrait. I photographed both her and her garden, for this portrait. She was a very sweet dog, and I enjoyed working on the texture of her fur, the pots and urns, and the exotic combination of plants. The papyrus, in the coppery bowl, was the hardest, and all the plants are a bit stylized but I like them. My client commissioned this as a gift for her husband, for their anniversary.
About Eileen Hale
My Art Blog https://eileenadelehaleartblog.blogspot.com/ The two primary areas of my art have been: 1) my personal art, and 2) animal portraits (and sometimes human portraits) on commission. My personal art ranges from fairly pure abstract work - dynamic, restless and shifting, full of motion and emotion, in watercolor, oils and collage - to work that combines figurative, abstract/abstract expressionist and surrealist styles in the same painting, with a dreamlike mix of content. I love color and flow, and I think my work is energetic, and graceful and refined as well as boisterous, naive, playful and clumsy. My vision is to bring many viewpoints together, in a harmony that is not too settled a harmony; I love the counterpoint as well as...

Thanks Eileen, I did find the second page this morning, and joined. Guess it took a night's sleep to clear the cobwebs! That little obscure page thing always throws me....

About how to find that Portraits group (I put this in a comment on your Bogey and Bacall, too): maybe you didn't find the Portraits group because the new groups have been created so fast that there are now 2 pages of groups, and Portraits, as an early one, is on the second page - 7th from the end. Check the last page (or 2nd to last if there are few groups on the last when you look). I hope you'll join it - your work will definitely add to it.

Hey, Marlene! Thanks for your comments! I agree with what you said: one of the best parts of getting comments is being able to quickly discover other artists and their work on the site. Yeah!! Also - I LOVE appreciation from artists whose work I enjoy. It's all the sweeter.

Eileen, I would love to join the "Portraits" group, but don't see one titled that... I'll keep looking. Anyway, thanks for your comments on my work. You know, one of the best parts of getting comments is being able to quickly discover other artists and their work on the site. This dog just tugs at my heartstrings. You have done a wonderful job of showing her personality. I really like all your work, but this one, especially being in watercolor, really stands out for me.
