Do you see the path of light on this highly reflective table surface? My still life is a colorful nature arrangement of floral, fruit and vegetables paired with the modern 3D sculpture art seen rising above and the surreal reflections below. A lovely dolly made by my own hands, adds interest to the edges. This watercolor is also described with a strong colored black background and really makes all the colors pop.

I rarely use black! What a surprise to me that I did use it here! But the sun was shining brightly and the table surface had turned into long shadows of darkness. As I got closer to the finished painting, my images were glowing in light and color on the paper, but now the sun had already set and the darkness experienced behind the still life was an actuality. And it sure did set off this grouping!
