1929 Pitcairn P-6 mailwing, designed to carry the mail at night. A very modern equivelent of the Pony Express. These American aircraft were known for being strong and robust and would later also be used for crop dusting because of their ability to carry heavy loads. This retired mail carrier sits resting out its days in an old hangar, occasionally seeing the light of day as it peeks through the windows and gaps.
