Love it!!!
An Astronaut from some undetermined time in the future stumbles upon the lander Philae resting in the shadow of the “Perihelion Cliff” on the surface of Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko.
I had to rework the background comet surface several times to reflect the latest data coming from ESA. I finally decided to use the last image from Philae showing the face of the “Perihelion Cliff” for the background. I utilized the corrected ESA color image and the speculations from Don Davis to give the comet its color which is barely visible.
Thanks go to Pamela Lee for the inspiration, Don Davis for his diligent and exacting work determining the color of Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko and ESA for dreaming the big dreams and daring the impossible!
