Awesome Capture and Find.....v

Michael Mazaika replied:

Sometimes I think (no, I know) that the God Lord sets the scene and all I have to do is show up with my camera. Then again, I'd be grateful if I got the shot or not. I'm glad you like the image, Beverly. - Mike

Stunning capture, Michael - well done!

Michael Mazaika replied:

Thank you, Doug. The skies were quite remarkable around the 150th Anniversary Events at Gettysburg last year. I'm grateful for your encouragement. - Mike

WOW and WOW again! I have a feeling that the sky really looked like that! A amazing shot! F/l

Michael Mazaika replied:

The skies were quite remarkable during the week leading up to and during the 150th anniversary commemoration this year at Gettysburg. It was a privilege to witness these scenes. Thanks so much, Debby. - Mike

Thank you, Kristie. I am humbled by your kindness and encouragement. - Mike

Outstanding! Love the POV. Looking through your portfolio so far...I am a Big Fan!!! v+f ~Kristie~

Jo Ann and Nick - thank you so much for featuring the Father Corby image from Gettysburg in the "Book Covers" and "Clouds - Always the Same, but Never the Same" groups. I'm also grateful for the work you do in administering these respective groups. The Good Lord provided exceptionally vivid skies in the days just prior to and during the 150th Anniversary of the battle of Gettysburg as seen here and in some of my other photographs. I'm glad you enjoyed this shot. - Mike

Rose - I am grateful to you for this feature in "Cathoic Art" and to the Lord for His graciousness to me. - Mike

Wonderful, v :)

Michael Mazaika replied:

Marilyn, thank you very much. The sky on this day fit the scene like a glove. The Good Lord seems to work that way so very often.

Fantastic image!!

Michael Mazaika replied:

Thank you, Sandi, for your kind words. I've been fortunate to be able to come to the Gettysburg battlefield since I was a young boy, some 50 years now, and still there is something to inspire upon each visit.

About Michael Mazaika

Michael Mazaika

I am a seat-of-the-pants photographer: with not the best of equipment but not the worst either; possessing good timing but no stranger to poor; with camera gear in tow and at other times without; witness to incredible light and often not so; there at the right moment and frequently just a few minutes too late. Maybe a lot like you. I am a lover of history and of our country; privileged to have seen a few other lands and their people; grateful for the sight that I have been given on loan; blessed by the scenes before me and the vision to see what they may look like at another hour and in another season.
