A warm sunny afternoon along the 'main street' of Riomaggiore in the Cinque Terre area of Italy. People are a bit lethargic, slowly wandering up and down the hill and browsing in the shops selling all manner of Cinque Terre specialties. Many of these specialties involve lemons, including cosmetics and lemoncello. Above the shops runs the parallel life of local people, with laundry drying in the sun. Sometime if you look closely, you see the residents gazing out at the activity on the hot streets from behind the shutters. Cinque Terre is a string of five centuries-old seaside villages on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline in the Liguria region of Italy. In each of the five towns of the region, colorful houses and ancient vineyards cling to steep terraces and fishing boats bob in harbors. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
