About Philip Lee
A native New Yorker, Phil Lee is an accomplished painter and illustrator. Phil began to show a serious interest in artwork when he was only eight years old, sparked by watching his father, Robert Lee, work on oil paintings. Phil began by dabbling in oil painting and pencil drawings. He entered his first art show at the young age of thirteen and won first place for an oil painting of border collies. Today, Phil enjoys creating oil paintings and pen and ink, as well as well as pencil, drawings. Oil is his favorite medium, and he receives greatest satisfaction from painting ships and sea scenes. He and his wife own a camp in Camp Vincent, New York on the St. Lawrence River, which provides inspiration for many of Phil's pieces. Phil has won...

Loved this man when I was a kid! a very sad New Year's day when his plane went down! He was a great baseball player but also a great man!
