Artist's Description
Rough Sands is an acrylic and glass sphere seascape using graduated sizes of glass spheres to create the illusion of distance and space. The glass spheres manipulate the light like lenses. They also mask out small areas of the seascape, letting lower layers peek through. Used with acrylic painting and extrusion techniques the glass spherical lenses create a sparkling changeable mixed media painting.
