Ruffles and Flourishes by Karen Cook - These Mourning Doves, were huddled on a bare branch against the cold of a Nova Scotia winter, their feathers ruffled against the snow. During the winter months, we share our backyard with a variety of feeder birds including Mourning Doves, Black Capped Chickadees, and a flock of Ring Necked Pheasants.
