A lonely two track lane in the west at harvest time. The foreground is shaded by a single oak tree on the left. The sun is coming up on the left of the scene. The gathered wheat shocks are casting shadows on the grassy field of gold. A broken down fence can be seen on the left of the road just beyond the tree's shadow. Beyond the broken fence is a tree stump casting a shadow across part of the lane. The two track curves to the left and out of sight between two hills of golden wheat. On the right side of the two track is a wooden rail fence casting shadows on the wheat field.
