Artist's Description
This is a beautiful Florida Sandhill Crane. Wikipedia sites that there are only about 5000 remaining. They are an endangered species due to habitat destruction. This one was nearly four feet tall! They are so impressive and nearly as tall as me since I'm only 5 feet 1in.

Thank you Ruth and thank you Anne! Thanks for looking. Yes, the Sandhill Cranes can get very tall around 4-foot more or less sometimes. They are very awe-inspiring to see up-close and personal for the first time esp since I was used to seeing birds more the size of doves and blue-jays before moving to Florida. lol. Glad you like!
