This one gets me. I love it. I like your touch with the etching ink. The subtle smears against forceful densities of ink. Nice piece. As soon as I finish my press I plan to do some reduction work myself. Thanks for the inspirations.

Wow your making your own press? Thats exciting! Deb

Powerful work!

If I don't get it out in the art studio God only knows where this might show up! Db

Artist's Description

This is a monotype that was made by rolling the whole plate with black etching ink and then wiping out the image using various rags, q- tips, sponges, and things that could give me texture. I then ran it through the press on a Japanese rice paper. I then chin colled it to a heavier printmakers paper.Landscape, Water, Black and White, Europe, architecture, photograph, color, peaceful, tranquil, European Vacation, Travel, Light, Coastal, Classic, Boats, Buildings, Sea, Fishing, Sports, Adventure, Cultural, Pastoral, Beach, Nature, Beauty, Calm, Still life, colors, fine art, process, oil paints, prints, paper, abstracts, realism, ocean, world, coastal, surreal, global, houses, homes, people, statures,

About Deborah Talbot - Kostisin

Deborah Talbot - Kostisin

After working for 30 years on my art I have discovered that for me the creative process is about surrender not control. It is the creating not the creation that drives my art . Also for the past 10 years I have been developing my photographic skill while I travel. I tend to be a bit of a purist not enhancing the image through the computer but using different lenses and shooting at certain times of the day to capture the scene or image. I have honed my compositional skills through the lens and have taken these skills to the print studio...
