The sun adds to the beauty of your image, Matthew -- IMO -- the sun and its reflection are handled very well. But if you wanted an architectural document to show the structure of he Shard it might have been better without it. But that would be a different image all together.

Thank you both for your comments. The sun was an issue in that in an ideal world I'd rather not have had it, but I was also unsure how that would have impacted the reflections and shadows - I was somewhat pressed for time so didn't have the luxury of hanging around to shoot a double. In the end I think it adds to the piece in as it gives another point for the eye to go to.
